Three Indonesian police arrested over student death
Three policemen have been arrested in Indonesia's Sumbawa island in connection with the death of a student - a case that sparked recent rioting that left one person dead.
A provincial police spokesman, Muhammad Basri, says three officers from the Sumbawa Besar district force have been detained since Thursday on suspicion of assaulting Mustakim, a local university student.
Hundreds of people stormed a police station and set it ablaze on Thursday, accusing police of responsibility for the student's death a day earlier.
Police fired shots to quell the mob, killing one person and injuring several others.
The riot led to the dismissal of the district's police chief and his deputy.
